Rho is a female dark green dominant pied opaline. When Mongo's old mate died of old age, I felt pretty bad for him, so when I was a the pet store getting food, I decided to get another female budgie to keep him company. When I saw Rho I thought she was very pretty, so I brought her home. Mongo and Rho hit it off, and she paired off with him. Rho started obsessively chewing on the cage bars, which makes a really annoying sound. I thought it could be hormones because she matured early. I thought I would try breeding Rho and Pi, who would make gorgeous babies, so we put them together in a cage. Pi really liked Rho and was very sweet to her, but she wouldn't have it. She wanted Mongo. So now Rho is set up to breed with Mongo, but all her eggs turned up clear (infertile). Turns out Mongo isn't such a good mate, but she won't have anyone else.
